Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Champawat was established in 25th December, 1994 at Lohaghat (near village Sui about 7.0 Km from Lohaghat) under jurisdiction of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, District Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand.
Kendra is situated at 80˚ 10’E longitude, 29˚ 60’ N latitude and at an latitude ranging from 1700 to 1800 meter above mean sea level. It is about 95 Km from Tanakpur the nearest railway station. The soil of the site is well drained with pH ranging from 6.5 to 7.0. The climate of the area is humid temperate. The frost and hail storms are common. Sometimes snow is also observed in winter season (December to March).
